Way back in February 2002, this all started as an innocent diatribe on why we (the rabid Tolkien fans at lordoftherings.net message board) couldn't have all the characters in The Movie. Not that we were complaining mind you, but we decided to take things into our own hands.
Looking back on it, maybe it wasn't such a good idea. Our hands are pretty darned irresponsible and the story has gotten completely out of control. Basically, we treat Professor Tolkien's characters like our younger siblings. We love 'em AND poke fun at 'em AND beat the heck out of 'em... and occasionally we beat the heck out of each other for poking fun at them....
.... but mostly we love them!
Anyway, our chapters pretty much follow the chapters of the Lord of the Rings (the book). Prepare to become a mouse potato and start with "A Long Expected Party", or skip to your favorite passage to see how we mangled it. In any case, enjoy!
